PHOTOS: Onam Celebrations Are Breaking Instagram!

The clash of the festivals: Onam has one-upped Rakhi -- at least, on social media.

The harvest festival of Kerala that is being celebrated today has seen a barrage of colourful photos being uploaded on Instagram. There's a rich mix of Onam Sadya, rangoli and people are proudly turning out in traditional clothing.

Rakhi, a popular North Indian festival, on the other hand, features a disappointing smattering of photos posted from commercial accounts.

Of course, the final result will only be tallied tomorrow once Rakhi sets in.
