NEW DELHI -- There might be a terror strike in India by the Islamic State, or ISIS, targeting Turkish nationals and interests. An India Today report says that the Intelligence Bureau has sounded an alert on June 1 to all state police forces across the country. This is the first time such an alert has been issued.

India banned the Islamic State last year after arresting a Bengaluru-based engineer who had been running a Twitter account sympathising with the terror group's activities. Last month, an Indian national who escaped persecution by ISIS claimed that the terror group has killed 39 Indian hostages.
