WATCH: How A Group Of Delhi Boys Rescued A Foreigner Under Attack

NEW DELHI—It may be known as the 'rape capital,' but then sometimes Delhi can win your heart too.

Recently, a couple of school boys turned into heroes and helped land a mobile-snatcher behind bars.

A few weeks ago, at around 10 pm, the boys were practicing for a match in Malviya Nagar, when they heard a woman scream for help. They left their match midway and saw a man running away after trying to rob an Uzbek national.

They ran after him and after a long chase, they finally caught the man.

The entire episode was caught in the CCTV cameras that was installed in the area. The footage has gone viral now.

Arun Singh Rajput, one of the boys, told Times Of India that it was an adrenaline rush. "The man was like a 'goal' that had to be scored," he said.

The Uzbek woman who had reportedly come to India three months ago on a business trip and was staying with a friend in Malviya Nagar.

On the day of the incident, she was seen walking inside the gated colony when the man, later identified as Suraj, started following her.

The man came from behind and then tried to snatch her phone. The CCTV footage shows when the woman resisted, he attacked her.

On hearing the women scream, the group of boys jumped the park walls and started chasing the man.

Among the boys were Sarthak Sharma, a class XII student of LBS School R K Puram, Arun Singh Rajput, a class XII student of St Paul's School, Japneet, a second-year-student of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and Aayush Joshi, a class XII student, reports ToI.
