Cricketer Amit Mishra To Be Quizzed By Cops For Allegedly Assaulting Woman

The Bangalore police has asked cricketer Amit Mishra to be available for questioning after a woman alleged that he had assaulted her last month.
In her complaint to the Ashok Nagar police filed on September 27, the woman said that on 25th September, she visited Mishra at the hotel he was lodged. The two had a verbal fight, during which Mishra allegedly assaulted her. She filed a complaint at the Ashok Nagar police station on the 27th, according to the Times of India.
DCP (Central) Sandeep Patil, "The incident took place about a month ago and we have been investigating the case since then. We have already collected CCTV footage and have also spoken to employees at the hotel. We have issued a notice to Amit Mishra asking him to appear before us so we can take his statements as well. We have given him a week's time to do so," he said.
Mishra was in Bangalore during the last week of September for the preparatory camp ahead of the South Africa series.
