The Supreme Court on Friday asked Bollywood actor Aditya Pancholi to vacate his Mumbai home by the end of this year, after losing a three decade-long case to the house owner, according to media reports.
50-year-old Pancholi, who has been fighting a bitter battle for a house rented by his father in Juhu in the year 1960 for Rs 150 a month, was told by the Supreme Court that his conduct towards the house owner was unacceptable, reported NDTV.
The owner of the property, one Tarabai Hate, had filed a case against the Pancholi family in the year 1977 for defaulting on several months' rent.
On Friday, Pancholi's claim of having received no notice from his landlady was rejected by the Supreme Court.
The 50-year-old, known for appearing in films such as Saathi (1991) and Yes Boss (1997), will now have to vacate the premises by the end of this year and pay the Rs 13,000 that he owes his landlady.
Pancholi's son Sooraj recently made his debut in Bollywood with the film Hero, which received a lukewarm response from audiences.
