Tamil superstar-turned-politician Vijayakanth probably did not imagine that his lost expression as he struggled to recall the asanas he claimed to have practiced for years will be captured on camera and will soon be the reason for hilarity of millions on the Internet.
The DMDK (Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam) founder held a yoga session for approximately 100 party workers in Chennai, atop a small stage complete with a huge poster of him performing an asana in the background.
The event took a comical turn as the politician, clad in spotless white kurta-pajama, was literally left twiddling his thumbs while trying his asanas. Vijayakanth had earlier claimed that he used to do 108 padmasanams regularly to stay fit and asked "everyone to do yoga because it is a way to keep healthy and attain peace."
His attempts to sit straight and identify the right hand gestures for breathing exercises was captured in painful details. The bewildered politician is seen looking around hoping to get help from fellow performers.
Of course everyone's a beginner at some point in their lives, but this politician might require a few more sessions before he plans to 'lead' any more classes.
He was not the only one, there were others who required some more work on their asanas:
