MUMBAI -- Oscar-winning actor Eddie Redmayne-starrer The Danish Girl, inspired by the true story of a transgender, will be releasing in India on 15 January next year.
Based on the book by David Ebershoff, The Danish Girl is the remarkable love story inspired by the lives of Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener (Redmayne) and Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina).
The film is directed by Tom Hooper of The King's Speech (2010) and Les Miserables (2012).
It was screened in the main competition section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival, Special Presentations section of the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival and most recently had its premiere in International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
