A Mumbai commuter saved a child on Sunday from being run over by a train and the dramatic footage was captured on camera. The video, put up on the channel of YouTube user Namrata Tripathi, has gone viral.
The grainy footage shows the man dragging the child on to the platform a second before the train enters the station. The incident happened at the Ambernath railway station in Mumbai. The video has over 78,000 views on YouTube.
A report in the DNA newspaper claimed that the incident occurred around 4:05 pm on Sunday and was caught in the CCTV cameras installed at the station.
DNA quoted Badlapur Railway Protection Force officials as saying the child who probably got separated from the parents, made a dash for the platform by running across the tracks.
