NEW DELHI -- Amid reports that three men from Kerala were beaten by their Saudi employer after they were conned by a placement agency and sent to Saudi Arabia, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday said they have been given police protection and the matter will be followed up.
According to reports, three men got conned by a placement agency which gave false job promises and sent them to Saudi Arabia, where they were allegedly attacked by their employer.
In the Whatsapp video, a Saudi employer can be seen beating the men with a wooden plank.
In response to the reports, Swaraj tweeted, "We have approached the police and got them police protection. We will follow this up."
