On Tuesday, the producers of the upcoming sex comedy (or "porn-com", as they're advertising it) Kya Kool Hain Hum 3 attempted a PR stunt that backfired on them big time.
A front page article on Bombay Times spoke about a new song from the upcoming film, stating that producer Ekta Kapoor had suggested tweaking the lyrics slightly so as to take more of a 'feminist' stance.
The report stated:
Unfortunately, readers didn't seem to appreciate Kapoor's affirmative action, as this BuzzFeed India report pointed out.

Annnyyyhooooooo, moving on, the video for the song 'Oh Boy' was uploaded online last Thursday.
Ladies, do let us know how empowered you feel after watching (SPOILER ALERT) the 1 nos. utterly generic Bolly-pop trash that has been posted at the top of this entry.
This lovely, heartwarming movie releases in theatres on January 22.

The report stated:
The song, featuring Mandana Karimi with Tusshar and Aftab Shivdasani, has the Iranian beauty lip syncing to 'Oh boy you are my soft toy'. But the original lyrics were 'Oh boy I am your soft toy'. When Ekta heard the song, she told music composers Sajid-Wajid that she loved it but felt the need for one change. Instead of the girl taking a weaker position, Ekta suggested that she should get the upper hand. So, the lyrics were changed accordingly; the song was re-recorded and then shot.

Slow clap for Ekta Kapoor who "empowered" a half-naked woman in a sexist comedy by changing 'I' to 'you'. pic.twitter.com/fIRU77a3V5

@pi_alize 150 minutes of objectification, 3 minutes of feminism. Ekta Kapoor is such a boss.
