NEW DELHI -- There is now an orchid name after Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On Monday, the Prime Minister's Office tweeted that a variety of the Cymbidium Orchid had been named "Namo."
The tweet said Modi had named two orchids, Sikkim Cymbidium Sardar and Lycaste Deendayal, while Chief Minister Pawan Chamling had named one orchid "Namo".
On his two day visit to the Northeast, Modi attended a flower show in Sikkim, which recently became the first fully organic state in India.
