Mulayam Singh Yadav: 3 BJP Men Involved In Dadri Lynching

NEW DELHI -- Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav declared at a public function that he knows about the involvement of at least three men from the Bharatiya Janata Party were involved in the lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq, last year, and he will reveal the names if Prime Minister Narendra Modi asks him to do so.

"A father was killed while his son was posted on border. I had earlier spoken of three names who were involved in the killing. Those are associated with BJP. If PM calls, I will give all names,” he said, The Indian Express reported.

Akhlaq, a 52-year-old ironsmith, was beaten to death by a mob alleging that he had slaughtered a calf in Bisada village in Dadri tehsil of Uttar Pradesh on September 28. His 22-year-old son, Danish, who was also bashed with bricks, sustained life threatening injuries.

Danish’s elder brother, Mohammed Sartaj, serves as a technician with the Indian Air Force.

Over the past four months, the BJP and SP have blamed each other for the gruesome episode in western Uttar Pradesh.
