The Internet has always wondered why Ben Affleck always looks sad. There's even a Tumblr dedicated to the actor-director's perenially morose expressions.
Now, in a development that could catapult this meme to Internet greatness, a YouTube video uploaded by user Sabconth features a clip from a Yahoo! video interview of Affleck and Henry Cavill, stars of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, in which they play Batman and Superman respectively. The mega-budget superhero movie, which released worldwide on Thursday, has received a royal drubbing from critics around the world, with a current score of 31% on movie review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
In the video, posted above, watch Affleck's face as the interviewer asks the stars to react to the savage reviews the film has received. Simon and Garfunkel's 'The Sound Of Silence' hasn't been used this well in ages.
Cheer up, Ben!
