Greeting his audience with “Waaheyguruji ka khalsa, Waaheyguruji ke fateh”, Trudeau goes on to describe how Canada’s liberal party and all Canadians share the 'Khalsa Panth’ ideas on fairness, respect, and equality for all regardless of race, creed, religion or gender, and will join hands in celebrating the festival, first in English then in French.
Trudeau’s active participation in Indian festivals has earned him a lot of love from Indians across the world, and Canada in particular. This year, three Sikh men were selected as part of the Prime Minister’s new 30-member cabinet, and Indian-origin citizen representation doubled from eight to 19.
The video that was shared on April 10 by Daily Sikh Updates on Facebook (watch below) has already received over 4 lakh views and continues to delight members of the community and Indians in general everywhere.
