HTC announced their latest flagship offering, the HTC 10. The launch is being eyed by industry experts as a very important juncture in the company's future after HTC M9's failure.

HTC 10 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and has a 4 GB of RAM. The phone has a 5.2-inch QHD super LCD 5 display with 3000 mAh of the battery which is quick charging 3.0 compatible. The company claims that the unibody design is made from one piece of metal at the back and the glass at the front.

The phone runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with HTC Sense 3.0 customization. Its internal memory is 32 GB with 64 GB variant on the way. The memory is expandable via microSD card.

On HTC's India website, the phone has listed as HTC 10 lifestyle with lowered specs. Instead of using Snapdragon 820 the phone uses Octa-Core, 64bit, 1.8GHz Snapdragon 852. The RAM is of 3 GB instead of 4 GB used in the international version. Internal memory is 32 GB.

The phone has a 12 MP camera with ultra pixel (bigger pixel sizes for better quality) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) technology. The camera has dual tone LED flash and laser autofocus. The front camera is 5 MP shooter with a f/1.8 aperture. Both cameras have an ability to shoot in 4K. The company has also added OIS in the front camera.

The Taiwanese phone makers have always prided themselves with dual front speakers and BoomSound technology. For this year's flagship, they have included 24-bit audio experience throughout the smartphone with BoomSound HiFi. The phone also has personal audio profiling with DAC support and Dolby surround sound output in Music and Theatre modes. HTC 10 will come with a pair of high-quality headphones in-box.

The phone will be available in four colours -- Carbon Gray, Glacier Silver, Topaz Gold and Camellia Red. In the US, HTC 10 is priced at $699 for the 32 GB version which is roughly ₹46000. But because of the lowered specs we can expect the price in India to be under ₹40000.
