Twitter burst into celebrations late into the night after Indian tennis star Sania Mirza won her first women's doubles final at Wimbledon with partner Martina Hingis. It was a great match that saw the duo fight back from being 5-2 down in the third set.

"Couldn't have asked for more drama," Hingis later told reporters.

Twitter was flooded with outpouring of love and affection for Mirza.

But one particular tweet stood out. The BBC India handle tweeted this out last night, congratulating Hingis for her win at the "Wimbledon doubles final". Indians are furious that BBC India left out Mirza's name in the tweet.

While this could have been a genuine mistake, fans are having none of it, accusing the organisation of being racist. Union Minister Smriti Irani also pointed out the mistake to BBC.

At the time of writing this, BBC had not deleted or corrected the tweet.
