NEW DELHI -- Robert Vadra, the Bharatiya Janata Party's favourite punching bag, was at the heart of the ruckus which engulfed the Lok Sabha on the monsoon's session third day.

The BJP moved a privilege motion against Vadra, Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law, over his remarks against the ruling party at the start of the session on Tuesday.

"Parliament begins and so do their petty diversion political tactics... People of India are not fooled. Regret to see India Led by such so called leaders," he wrote on Facebook.

Speaking in Lok Sabha, BJP lawmaker Prahlad Joshi said that Vadra had "demeaned" lawmakers.

"He cannot do that...Nobody can do that," BJP's chief whip Arjun Ram Meghwal told Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
