PHOTOS: HRH Prince William And Kate's Day Out At Kaziranga National Park

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, on Wednesday visited the Kaziranga National Park in Assam as part of their two-day visit to Tezpur.

After being garbed in the Assamese honour scarf 'Bihuwan', the Royal couple took a tour in an open jeep with security vehicles escorting them into the Bagori range of the world heritage site known for one-horned rhinos.

The couple also visited the Dunga and Rowmari Forest camps mostly inhabited by rhinos and tigers in the park. The Duchess posted several photographs of their trip:

The Duchess even fed a baby rhino, and enquired about the families of the forest personnel after being informed about forest conservation efforts and anti-poaching measures.

On the night of their arrival, the Duke and Duchess were entertained at the Diphlu River Lodge in Kaziranga by tribal dancers and musicians of the region, after a brief prayer offered to the 'Gurujona' (God) for peace and prosperity.

Since their visit, the couple has met underprivileged kids and attended an event by the film fraternity. They are also going to visit the Kaziranga Discovery Centre, to witness the going-ons of the Captive Elephant Clinic.
